Last summer I got together with my friends in Explosions In The Sky and spent a few weeks making some music for David Green’s new movie Prince Avalanche. I could not be more proud to have been a part of this and am excited to let everybody know that Temporary Residence is releasing the soundtrack on August 9. Excited for everyone to see the movie and to hear our music.
Brooklyn, what a great time last night, was so great to be back. One of the funnest shows we’ve played, you really made me feel like I was back home. Doing the Cakeshop tonight and Maxwell’s tomorrow, let the homecoming continue!
We are very sorry to have to report cancellations on the first three shows of the tour in Denton, Little Rock and St Louis. We had a sudden family emergency wednesday night that has required attention and delayed our leaving Austin by two days. We greatly apologize and wish there was some way around it but unfortunately there is not. We will be starting in Madison this sunday 5/12 and we will most certainly make it up next time around for those towns that we had to cancel. Sucks to have to do that last minute but life sometimes throws a shitty wrench into the best-laid plans.
Austin friends, we are playing an instore today at 5:00 before heading out on the road tomorrow, come say hey before we head out and drink some free Shiner!
Much thanks to Brian Howe for the super thoughtful review he wrote of Ghosts Go Blind for Pitchfork, check it out.
